One thing we are going to touch on today, sure you want your car to be around for 10+ years, but you also want to stay in good condition so that it is actually pleasant to drive.   1. Drive Carefully

In one of our previous blogs we told you that nothing would send you car to an early grave faster than ignoring oil changes. There is actually one thing that will end the life of your car faster – getting into a catastrophic car accident. Drive safely. Exhibit caution wherever you go. Practice the tenants of defensive driving. This will keep your car, and you on the road for years to come. And that is just the way we would like it.

If you are not happy spending time in your car, you are going to be less inclined to work hard to keep it in good condition. The most important thing when it comes to keeping your car clean, is that you can’t let yourself fall behind the job. Stay out of the habit of leaving trash in your car. Bring it in for regular cleanings. Spring for an interior detailing job once every 50,000 miles or so.

  1. Maintain Your Tires

Your tires are the primary way your car interacts with the road. Having old or underinflated tires and impact our gas mileage and inflict undue stress on your vehicle. Keep your tires inflated to the PSI recommended by the manufacturer. Buy new tires every few years as they become worn.
