It has taken its place among other great American cities like Chicago, Boston, Los Angeles, New York, Miami, Austin, Dallas, and others. The Numbers

The Phoenix metropolitan area, which stretches across over 14,600 square miles and includes Carefree to the North, Goodyear to the West, Apache Junction to the East, and Chandler to the South, is home to over 1.6 million individuals. It is currently the 6th most populous city in the United States. It has routinely grown at an annual rate of 4 percent. This annual growth is larger than almost every other city in the nation. Even with its massive population, Phoenix ranks very low in terms of population density. This means that people of Phoenix have more space to themselves, which is almost always a good thing!

A Jewel in the Desert

Phoenix, also known as the Valley of the Sun, is located in the Salt River Valley, which is part of the Sonoran Desert. The Sonoran Desert is one of the largest deserts in the world. It is also the most ecologically diverse desert on the globe. Despite its location in an arid climate, Phoenix has a thriving farming community which is known for its production of alfalfa, citrus, and cotton. Arizona is known for its “Five Cs”, or copper, cotton, cattle, climate, and citrus, which still shape the economy of Phoenix today.

Phoenix is home to a rich sporting tradition.The Suns, the Cardinals, the Diamondbacks, and the Coyotes are all deeply ingrained in the culture of Phoenix. It seems clear to us that Phoenix, Arizona is one of the finest cities in the nation!
